கோழையின் பாடல்கள்

பெருமாள்முருகனின் ஐந்தாவது கவிதைத் தொகுப்பு இது. முந்தைய நான்கு தொகுப்புகளிலும் உள்ள கவிதைகள் கவிஞர் தன்னிச்சையாக எழுதிக் காலத்துக்கும் சூழலுக்கும் கையளித்தவை. இந்தத் தொகுப்பிலுள்ள பெரும்பான்மையான கவிதைகள் காலமும் சூழலும் பிடரியில் சுமையாக அமர்ந்த வேதனை தாளாமல் கவிமனம் வெளிப்படுத்தியவை. துரத்தலுக்கு இடையில் சற்றே நின்று கொஞ்ச நேரம் மூச்சு வாங்கிக்கொள்ள எழுதப்பட்டவை.

கலைச் சுதந்திரத்தின் மேல் சமூக அதிகாரம் வன்மத்துடன் பிடி இறுக்கிய நாள்களின் தனிமை, வேதனை, துயரம், ஏக்கம், ஆற்றாமை, கண்ணீர், கையறு நிலை, கழிவிரக்கம், சீற்றம், ஏளனம் ஆகிய எல்லா உணர்வுகளும் இந்தக் கவிதைகளில் புலப்படுகின்றன. ஆனால் அவை வெளிப்படுவது குற்றம் சாட்டும் முனைப்பிலோ குறைகூறும் மொழியிலோ அல்ல. ஏனெனில் கவிதையின் தெய்வ மொழியில் சாபத்திற்குச் சொற்கள் இல்லை.

It’s the fifth poetry collection of Perumalmurugan. The first four collections are by a poet wandering on his own ways. But, the poems in this collection are expressions of a poetic heart under the pressure of censorship and ostracization.

These poems reveal to us those days, when social dictatorship wrung the neck of artistic freedom, filled with solitude, melancholy, angst, self-pity, pain, longing and multitudes of related emotions. The poems achieve a literary status by expressing a universal context in the non-judgmental voice they speak with. For there are no words for a curse in the divine voice of a poet.
